John Holt of Waratek Ltd founded Sydney Australia in 2002, Waratek is a computer sciences company specialising in developing more efficient computing clusters. Waratek, inventor of Redundant Array of Inexpensive Servers (RAIS) technology, will this year begin trialling the industry's first RAIS computing systems with early adopter customers in the UK and Ireland. In 2008, Waratek established its international headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, after securing the backing of high profile venture capital group Mangrove Capital Partners of Luxembourg, and in 2011 will begin rolling out RAIS certified applications and systems to the global IT market.
